Colson Kelly (aka Machine Gun Kelly) is a rapper who has a unique style. Baker was born April 22 1990, in Houston Texas U.S. into an extended family with English Scottish and German descent. His parents were missionaries. During his childhood the Bakers traveled extensively together. James Colson Baker battled depression and joblessness, and his mother Sonia Alane dumped him at age nine. Baker's dad moved along with Baker to Denver and they lived at the home of his aunt. Baker was bullied because that he was poor among the kids. As he entered the sixth grade, Baker started to learn rap. Colson Baker, a.k.a in the form of Machine Gun Kelly, was born in Texas on April 22nd, 1990. He has a reputation for blending modern and alternative hip-hop with rock music in his compositions. Prior to making the move to Bad Boy Records Baker released four mixtapes between 2007 and 2010. The Cleveland rapper, who wrote lyrics with the velocity that of a fast bullet saw an explosion of popularity when at the end of 2011, Baker made the switch from self-released tracks to well-known labels. The profile of the Cleveland rapper rocketed when he released his first mixtape late in 2011.
